Hello My Dear Host Family!

My name is Ruslana. I was born on 8.10.1990 in the beautiful city Poltava that is situated in Ukraine and till nowadays I live here. Poltava is one of the most ecologically cleanest city in the country and I love it from my childhood. I’m the second year student of the Poltava State Agrarian Academy. My specialty is "Finance”. I’ve recently heard about this program in my Academy and I’ve realized that I really want to take part in it, this desire become my new goal what I truly want to achieve. I’m eager to meet your family and I think I have all needed skills and abilities to satisfy your expectations. So, let me tell you more about myself. Since I had been studying at school I enjoyed of English. During the education at Academy I continue to study this language and I don’t want to stop on it. I’d like to improve my English and this program and your family could help me with this. I have a big family: my mom, dad, elder sister and granny and also I have a lot of relatives, which I love and respect very much. My family and all its members is the most valuable priority in my life. All holidays we always celebrate together around our family table. Recently my aunt gave a birth to a little girl. It was a true gift of the destiny for me because I love kids so much. When I saw her at first I couldn’t avert my look from her beautiful blue eyes. She is a true angel even without wings. My aunt often asks me to look after her daughter when she is busy and I always do it with a big pleasure. I often walk to the park and play there with her, teach to speak and to make her first steps. Now she is only one year old but she has already become the closest one for me in this world. I’m fond of looking how she smiles – it is like a sun and even I’m sad I need only to look on her smiling face and all my troubles will disappear. Several years ago my parents present me beautiful Persian cat on Christmas, which nowadays become a true member of our family. Two times a year she gave a birth to kittens. I remember when one time she gave a birth to 8 kittens. It was very hard for me to bring them up: to teach them how to eat, how to use the toilet. I very like this period when they run from one room to another, play one with another, funny sleeps all together. This is the happiest time for me. It is always so hard to leave them, because I love everyone so much. I very like travelling – I’ve visited a lot of places in Ukraine but I’ve never been abroad. I’m waiting so much when I will have an opportunity to visit another country. This program and your family could give me such a great opportunity. I do not have bad habits. I’m for healthy way of living. I like sport. I visit sport club "Siluet” where I learn different styles of dancing and I really enjoy of it. I like swimming. Sometimes in winter I go to the swimming-pool and during summer I often go to the river. I even learned my younger cosine Lisa (she is 12 years old) how to swim. I’ve really got pleasure of it. Also I like skating and riding a bike. I’m very active and energetic, responsible and goal-oriented. My life credo is "IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING”. I like to make photos and have a rest on fresh air. My favorite holiday is Christmas. My favorite season of the year is summer. Most of all I want to visit your country. To my mind it is one of the most wonderful countries in the world. All professors at my Academy always tell us about this country, exemplify it as the most economically stable country, socially oriented, without corruption, with strong educational system and high developed ecological system.
