 Hello, dear host family,

My name is Kate. I'm 25. I live in Russia. The city where I live is situated on the river Volga. It is one of the biggest and the most beautiful rivers in the world. Saratov is the city where I was born and live now. It is quite big and beautiful but unfortunatelly not very clean. I live there with my parents. My family is not very big but we are very friendly. My mother and father are doctors. I have a younger brother, Sergey. He is two years younger than me. We have very good relationship and I can say that we are very good friends. Also I have a granny, and I love her so much. My parents have a small country house near the river. We like to go there on weekends on summertime. We like boating and fishing there with my father and brother.

I have much free time on summer because I'm a teacher. I work in a children center of extra education as a teacher of English. I work with little children from 3 to 6 years old. I like my job because children are very funny, spontaneous and nice.

A few words about my hobbies. I finished the musical school and sometimes I like to play the piano. Also I like dance tango argentino and salsa. Now I'm dancing one and a half year. Tango and salsa are different but they are both social dance. We have lessons and parties. People go there not only to dance. They communicate, make new friends and have a good time together. Several times I visited salsa and tango festivals in different cities. Thanks to dance I met a lot of friend in my city and other cities too.

I always dreamt to go to different countries. Maybe that is why I started to learn English. I read about Norway and I know that it has a big great history and magnificent nature. I'm interested in Norwegian fjords, mountains and so on. Also I'm very interested in Norwegian culture and traditions. I think our countries have a lot of common in traditions, spending free time, cuisine because they are both Northern countries. I wonder to know about family traditions, how Russian family traditions distinguish from Norwegian ones. I also could talk about my country, my family and our culture, traditions and Russian national food. I hope we will spend good time and become friends.

Best wishes, Kate
