Hello! My name is Karina, and I wish to become a participant of Au-pair program. I was born on 20 of February 1991. I grew up in the atmosphere of love and happiness. My mother Tokar Larisa is a teacher of mathematic at the local school, she is very busy with her work, but she always finds the time for her family. My father is an electrician but you know, I don’t know such a work that he wouldn’t be able to deal with, starting with mending and finishing with making furniture himself. I am the second child in the family. My sister, Lina, is older for 6 years, she is already married and have a kid, Lera. I spend much time with them.

At the present moment I am a fourth-year student at the Sumy State Pedagogical University. I am at the Foreign Languages Department, study English and German.

I chose this program because I am fond of children. I am one of those people who can’t keep themselves from smiling when they pass a child. I think that they are all very lovely and that there no bad children, only adults who don’t know how to treat them properly. In my life I hardly faced the misunderstanding with a child otherwise I can say that I always can get along with them.

I think that Pedagogical University, I am a student of, helped me to understand children’s psychology better. As we had a lot of subjects that deal with how to treat children, how to teach them something in the way they would catch it, how to became their best friend, advisor, leader and the person to be followed at the same time.

I was in USA two years ago, and worked in the camp for children Wa-Klo, New- Hampshire. There I made some cooking, I had a nice opportunity to communicate with American children and I found them easy to deal with.

I think that I have a pretty big experience in communication with children. As I have already mentioned, I have a niece. She is four-years old and I spend an awful lot of time with her. Her parents are busy with work very often, so I do the role of her nursie. For the most part we play different games, especially I try to choose one that helps her to learn something new, like new letters, numerals and she even knows several words in English. She always looking forward to spend some time with me.

Also when I was at the second year of study I had the practice at school with the second grade children . It was a kind of a passive practice. My duties were to help them with the study, to play different games through the brake, and to organize some educational activities. At the time when the practice was over, the children used to me and my colleague so much that they didn’t want us to leave, and presented us some cards they made themselves. It was really so pleasant. After that, we visit them when they have some special occasions.

And this year I had another kind of practice in the summer camp for children. I worked with 12, 13 years old pupils. It was very interesting! We went to the excursions, did some camping, participated in different competitions, and of coursed organized different occasions ourselves.

Speaking about my hobbies so I am fond of dancing and reading, and spending time with my friends.
