DEAR HOST FAMILY!

Lets me introduce myself. My name is Ann Drabchuk. I am 25 years old (was born on November, 6 , 1985). I am from Ukraine.

When I was 3 years old, my family moved to Burshtyn – a small town in Ivano-Frankivsk Region (about 40 km. from Ivano-Frankivs). When I finished the school I entered to the National University "Lvivska Politechnika” in Lviv (it’s a historical regional centre of West Ukraine. Sometimes it is called as the capital of West Ukraine. On December 2008 I graduated University and got a diploma. My speciality is a linguist- translator (English).

Now I am working in investing building company in Lviv (I live separate from my parents, rent an apartment). My position is Director’s Assistance. I like my job (which I think is very responsible), but nevertheless every day I understand that it’s not my cup of tea. I want something to change, want to broaden the outlook, to get acquainted with a new culture, new traditions… And I have decided to look for Au-Pair position as I like children very much, like to play with them, like and admire their sincerity, their playfulness…

I am serious about being au-pair and realize the whole responsibility. I think working as an au pair will be great experience in life, will help to explore new things, improve language skills, and broaden circle of communication. It's very pleasant to feel that you will be able to join someone's family and be helpful to another people.

I have already gained some childcare experience. I have experience of being with kids of all ages, and age is not a main thing for me.

It must be stressed here that I shall not have problem to help you in the household. As I have already noted I live separate from my parents (rent an apartment), that’s why I am used to do all housework by myself: cleaning, vacuuming and dusting, washing dishes, preparing meals, shopping and etc.

As for my character, I am cheerful, honest, sociable. I have a sense of humor. I like jokes. I am well brought-up and have good manners, very open to new things, I like communicating with people, I have no problems in adapting to any situation, ability in assimilating new knowledge.

Let me to note that I’ve already taken part in International program Work & Travel USA in 2005. It was great time which I can forget never. I have a big wish to experience life overseas for longer period, especially having such interesting and active position as au pair :)

After my Au Pair Year I hope to become more self-confident, to mellow and expand my horizon. I am planning to start working at the tourism industry like a travel agent. T

In conclusion, I would like to thank you very much for taking your time to get to know me better. I hope you go to know me a bit and you got a good impression of me. I hope you pick me as your au pair and you will give me an understanding of your life and I will give you as well one of mine.
