Hello, Dear Host Family,

I am looking forward to meet you, and I would like to introduce myself to you. I was born 04.02.1990, so soon I am going to be 20. I have lived in the village until I was 12, then my parents decided me to study in the city, because there were much more opportunities. So I have studied in the Gymnasium for 5 years, and I was learning English there especially hard. After graduation from gymnasium I decided to study at the pedagogical university, because of love to children and English language, so now I am the third-year student at the faculty of foreign languages.

I have a wonderful family I could only dream about. My parents still live in the village, because of love to nature. My mother Lidia, who is 42 years old, is a shopkeeper, but her hobby is flowers. We have two large gardens and the dozen of flowers around it. We also have a lot of flowers in the house. My Mom is a real friend to me. My father Serhij is 43 and he is welder. He has magical hands, he can do everything, he made a lot of things by his hands for our yard. And I have a brother Ihor, who is 15. He lives in the city also as he goes at the same gymnasium I went. We live together in the city with our grandmother. I love him very much and care of him like of my own child. I do all house work and my brother is really helpful in it. We are very friendly; he is my brother and my best friend. I adore spending my time with family; usually we go to the picnics or play snowballs in winter, unfortunately not as often as wanted, because of studying, as it takes plenty of time. I appreciate the time spent with my family.

I am communicative, cheerful and easy-going person, so I have a lot of friends and glad to meet new every minute. I love my friends very much and I have a lot of close friends, they are of different age, most of them of my age, some two or three years older and some even 15 years older. I appreciate my entire friend, for example older friends have more witness, and they can give you useful advice, as they more experienced, you can teach a lot from them. I like to have funny time with them, it can be spent in a different way; we go to the cinema, to the café, skiing, go to have picnics near the river, play big tennis, go boating, to jump on trampoline…

I like making pictures, especially nature pictures, I like notice little things and embody them. One of my hobbies is embroidery, my grandma taught me to embroider, it needs patience, but it is all right with me. Sometimes I like knitting; I knitted several mufflers, when I was younger. Of course I like listening to music, I listen different music; classic as well as rock-n-roll, pop and jazz. Dancing is my special theme; I adore sport-ballet dancing, unfortunately I can’t dance it, but I am going at the eastern dancing club and I like it very much, it helps feel cheerful, alive and to keep feet. Some periods of my life I dedicate to the aerobics, as I like to move all the time, I don’t like to be bored. One more thing that makes me very comfortable and satisfied is reading, I adore reading, it makes me wittier, I can analyze things in another way, after reading a lot of books. I have a lot of favorite books.

I have a lot of cousins, so I have a great experience. When my cousins Alexandr and Bohdan were born, I helped my aunt to care of them, I fed them, bathed, dressed them on and off, took then into bed. I was involved in it every weekend. Also I was a nanny for my neighbour’s child Dasha, whom I’ve cared for 3 years, I love her very much, as she was near me for a long period of time. Now she is 6 years old. Sometimes I have worked with her every day, and sometimes several times a week.

I had experience to work with a physically disabled girl Viсki, who is 3 years old now. She has a child’s cerebral palsy. 3 times a week I was helping to care of her, as she in not able to walk. I did different physical exercises with her, played special games, fed her, changed her clothes, read fairytales and played developing games.

I helped to look after my cousin Roman , who is 10 years old now, when his parents were out, I played with him different outdoor and indoor games, I was also helped him to learn some school tasks, for example math or geography. I did the same with many of my cousins, both boys and girls, as I have 12 of them.

I am proud of having experience of working in the kindergarten, I learned a lot there. I’ve worked there for 2 months at summer period. I had the youngest group; the children were at the age from 1 to 3 years. Every morning we were doing morning exercises, then going to the group and having breakfast, after that It was up to me to play outdoor games, I prepared different competitions for them, of course simple, as the children were small. I swung them on small merry-go-rounds, we were playing the ball. After the morning walk they had dinner and then I put them into beds, they slept usually for 2-3 hours and then they had snack and dinner walk until their parents got them home. I’ve worked from 7 a.m. till 18 p.m. Besides I’ve worked several days with the group of children, who were at the age of 3-5 and 5-6 years. I love children very much and it is a pleasure for me to work with them. Children are like flowers of life; they bring happiness and joy in our life, and make it brighter.

I am a mixer, so I enjoying communicating with different people and it is not enough for me to have acquaintances only in Ukraine, as I have all life ahead, my aim is to make friends all over the world. My big dream is to travel much; I am anxious to learn more about other countries and their cultures not only from books or internet, but also from my own experience.

One of the most important reasons is to get more and more experience while working with children, I want to have large pedagogical experience in different spheres working with children. I will be happy to have enough experience before graduating the university, as it will help me to find a decent work; I want I could recommend myself in the bright light.

And one of courses is the English language, which is very important to me. I want to know it like my native language; I want my speaking skills would be ideal. My aim is to speak English like native speakers. And I believe I will success in it, because I am having success in everything I want. I am hard-working and optimist, so I believe that in every situation the way out exists.

I believe my host family will accept me and we become like a real family, I hope we become friends with the child. I will do my best, I promise.
