Hello my future host family! Let me introduce
myself and tell you about my life and interests. My name is Natalia, I am 28
years old. Inspite of my age I am still a student of Moscow Pedagogical
University Geographical Department. I work on my final paper – getting ready to
graduate the last year of University.
I am a capital girl, but every summer vocation
I spend with my grandmother in our country house not far from Moscow. It is much more fun there – a lot
of kids get together in our village in summer. Every day children do not
disturb their parents taking care of them, because older kids watch the
youngest. We spend good time outside swimming in a local lake, riding bikes,
playing different games, having picnics on evenings. After getting my school
diploma I entered the teacher training college #14 to become a teacher of
primary school. I*ve been studying for 4 years there. For that time I made a
lot of new friends, got a bunch of knowledge of teaching methods and materials.
We did practice a lot – in a summer camp as a leader, in a local school as a
substitute teacher. I*ve got great experience of communication with unknown
children over there.I do love sports
and try to fill my free time participating in different activities and traveling.
I am a good swimmer. I took part in organization of Junior Olympic Games in Moscow as a cheerleader in 1998.
That time I found out about the program an
“Au-Pair”. I got an idea to try myself in this role. I explained it to my
mother, but she insisted on my entering the University and getting high
education. After my 4 year I decided to take a break and become an Au Pair in
the USA. It was unbelievable!I got families in NJ and CT. They were quite
different by their nature. My first family lives in a huge modern house with a
swimming pool, sauna and golf field for kids. They love parties and fancy
clothes, go out with friends. The parents have an ad agency in NYC. We had great
time together and I got aquainted with other au pair in that are. My second
family lives in CT in the suburbs of Stamford. I did like that territory much
more. They are not so fancy. The kids
were adopted from an orphan home.We had
to keep an eye on them all the time. All
kids I*ve taking care of are of school age.I had plenty of time for myself. I volunteered for Darien secondary school, took classes of
ESL in UCONN, went swimming to YMCA, went sightseeing and on Broadway shows
with my host family to NYC on weekends.During my long vocation in August I decided to see the USA and traveled for a month. I*ve been
to Niagara
Falls, Texas, Chicago, Florida, Martha Vineyard – it was an
awesome trip! I stayed at hostels were I made a lot of new friends.
Coming back to Russia I returned to my classes and worked
part-time job in dean*s office as an assistant. It wasn*t easy to study and
work but I managed and finished my year. My friends advised me to go and see Europe this time. Luckily age-limits are
not so strict and I registered for an au-pair in Europe.I want to be an au-pair in Denmark. I*ve never been to this country
before. I am interested in culture of region.I am eager to get a Danish host family with kids of school age not far
from the capital. I drive for 9 years and ready to help kids to get from one
place to anotherin their community to
go out to different activities and local playgrounds and places of interest.
I am an open-minded person, friendly,
respecting others and expecting the same from others.
