Dariia I.

Dear host family

My name is Dariia. I am 22 years old. I live in Ukraine, in a very beautiful and small town – Novomposkovsk.

         I decided to be an Au Pair when my friend told me about her travel (she worked like Au Pair in France). She told me a lot about this wonderful year. I thought that I want to go too.  I want to know about new country, culture, traditions and a way of life and of course to have fun with children.

         At first, I want to tell you something about myself and about my family.

I live together with my mother, her name is Marina. She is a chief of department of sale. She approves my decision to be an Au Pair. My mom is the best friend. I tell her everything. We spent a lot of time together. We prepare the dinner, go shopping, etc. 

         I have a brother. His name is Igor. He is 15 years senior to me. He has a son Nikita, 10 years old. Every week-end the family of my brother came to us. When Nikita was little, I have spent a lot of time with him. When his parents worked, I came to him after school and helped them. I liked it very much. We live in a big apartment. Two cats and one parrot live with us. I like the animals so much.

         One reason for my decision to spend a year as an Au Pair in the your country is the fact that I love being with children.

         I was babysitting with 2 children, Nazar and Sonya. Nazar was 3 years old when I began to take care of him. Sonya was 4 years old. I love them so much.

         Nazar is so active boy. He is always ready to an activity and to play, I liked that.

         Sonya is a calm girl and very clever. I started to study her to read and paint. She learned that very fast. I liked that time very much and the work like baby-sitting gave me a big experience at the work with children.

         Now I want to tell you more about me.

Everybody tell me that I am open, sociable, creative, honest, responsible, caring and of course humorous girl.

         When I studied at school one teacher saw that I draw very good. And she advised me to go at painting – school. After that I know that I can develop my skills in this way.

         After finishing school I entered to the University and studied two years but I understood that I want to be the famous artist. I started to paint. I finished the courses of painting. I participated in the festival “beauty Spring 2007” Also I finished the courses “Make up”. I started to make –up and make the body tattoo. I am creative person. I like decorating the rooms.

         My wishes for my Au Pair year are to have a great time in your family and to be a member of your family. I want to take good care of your children. I also want to improve my language skills and get to know all about your country.
